TVR Cerbera

January 10, 2011 by

TVR’s reaction to owners who contacted the organization in search of a larger car, usually simply because they have started to breed – ended up being to create this handsome, but nonetheless unmistakably TVR, 2+2 coupe.

Powered with a more modestly-tuned variant of the six cylinder TVR engine, designed for more torque along with a smoother rate of acceleration; the equipment is not to become written off as a slouch.

Rather, it’s just a different way of delivering rabid amounts of high speed. And anyway, there’s a bespoke tuning service agreed to the power-hungry. Whichever variant is chosen the vehicle is excellent at dancing with the bends.

TVR Sagaris

January 10, 2011 by

Using the T350 to new heights by wrapping it right into a package prepared to stick numbers about the doors on and on racing, Sagaris has uprated everything; engine power, suspension package, aerodynamic aids, everything about the car yells: Excess!!

Yet TVR claim it remains tractable and compliant at lower speeds. Handling is more subtle than you may expect of this type of radical-looking car, and passengers aren’t prone to complain of getting to have fillings reset.

The rate Six TVR engine is very tuneable, and in the Sagaris the most effective can be made of the potential. Search for one with a premiership footballer inside it near you soon.

TVR

January 10, 2011 by

The Blackpool Bombers still come rumbling and snarling out of the factory, underneath the astute guidance of Peter Wheeler who stays for the moment, despite TVR recently becoming Russian-owned.

The number is ever-broadening, driven in part by an ever more successful number of race campaigns which are subsequently translated towards the road. The most recent addition towards the range may be the Sagaris, an utterly outrageous development of the already-radical T350.

This machine continues to be created to compete in race events for production vehicles, however the chances are that someone is going to be out there terrorising Mondeo drivers having a Griffith even as you’re reading this.

Also new may be the latest Tuscan, which adds yet more aerodynamic aids towards the already swoopy machines. Even clients who have to be satisfied with models in the lower end of the TVR range is going to be buying themselves machines which deliver performance, excitement and enjoyment in equal measure. This is actually the heavy metal and of the car industry.

Toyota Yaris

January 10, 2011 by

The town car that, for any little while a minimum of, redefined the sector. But it’s cute looks are actually beginning to age, your competition is overtaking it, and Yaris is not quite the charming little car it was.

Three petrol engines along with a diesel can be found, and there are three body shells to choose from; the hatch in three or five-door form, and also the ungainly Verso estate.

Handling is respectable if unexciting, and gratifaction could be sharper. The Sport version feels duller than it must, for a 105PS car. Nowadays there are better possibilities in the supermini class, as well as for many a replacement cannot come too early.

Toyota RAV4

January 10, 2011 by

A funkily-styled three door sports utility (there’s a five door version, but styling suffers as a result of the extra doors) is tailored for demand from younger drivers.

There’s a front drive only version offered, however the best package may be the 4×4, with either the torque-rich diesel of the 147PS petrol engine, on-road performance is preferable to many in this class, and off-road behaviour is nice, if not excellent.

If it’s sometimes outclassed by its competition (mainly the Freelander or HR-V) it claws back some credibility since it looks the part more than they are doing.

Toyota Previa

January 10, 2011 by

Toyota’s mid-sized mufti purpose vehicle (MPV) is understandably popular, it provides seating for approximately seven, has some clever interior packaging which allows the best to become made from the area, and looks satisfyingly dissimilar to most other MPVs available on the market.

The sliding rear doors are specifically popular amongst clients who use the Previa to haul about small and active children. Safety was at the top of Toyota’s agenda when it come up with Previa, so it is no real surprise that the car is well equipped and well-built.

Previa is unique amongst Toyotas inside being more of these in Europe than Toyota have officially sold; the reason being it is a favourite amongst grey market importers who buy second-hand examples cheap in Japan and flood the car or truck market together.

Toyota MR2

January 10, 2011 by

The pleasing little roadster is constantly on the attract a contented band of buyers, who appreciate the undeniable driving enjoyment advantages of a compact two seater sports cars with Toyota’s near-legendary reliability.

Performance is nice – a 138PS engine mounted amidships and matched to some well-set cluster of six forward speeds creates sharp handling and acceleration, and also the car feels wonderfully solid.

There’s a sequential gearbox available, but unusually this saps, instead of enhances, performance delivery. It will likely be interesting to determine if Toyota keep using the roadster format, or go back to some coupe in the next model.

Toyota Matrix

January 10, 2011 by

The very first of a new wave of small MPVs (multi purpose vehicles) from Toyota, the nose of the Matrix bears more than passing resemblance to Europe and Japan’s Corolla Verso.

In the side it’s very distinct, with big and bold lines swaged to the body work. Two engines can be found; a 1310PS four, along with a highly-tuned version of this same 1.8 litre four that delivers 170PS.

This latter engine, when combined with the six speed gearbox and sports suspension system, creates a quite exciting time, most famously because the drive experiences the front wheels only; other Matrix designs include the option of four wheel drive.

Toyota Land Cruiser

January 10, 2011 by

Freshly revised, the Land Cruiser is really a robust and dependable machine that’s at its very best in long wheelbase form; the shorter three door is a touch lacking in ability on tracks, as well as pitches and rolls a tad too much for comfort about the tarmac.

The Land Cruiser’s reputation was forged on its ability dirt, and this latest version remains as good as its predecessors were.

Quality of interior trim is high, out of the box the level of standard equipment. If you’re planning to cross the Sahara or go ahead and take short route over the Alps, this is the machine that should be at or close to the top of your list.

Toyota Corolla

January 10, 2011 by

An undistinguished looking car (from some angles there’s a nod towards the old model Audi A3, from others a glance of the Mazda 3) Corolla is the world’s best-selling car.

Quite why nobody continues to be able to work out; the solution probably is based on its apparently endless quantity of body and driveline permutations.

The smaller-engined models are underpowered but miserly with fuel, whilst the top-line 109PS variant is livelier without having to be too thirsty.

Adding some more capacity to the output of the T-Sport would help matters along however they haven’t done this.

Toyota Celica

January 10, 2011 by

The initial Celica was the very first real attempt with a Japanese manufacturer to attain pony car market.

Now, several generations on, there’s still a sharp-handling Celica on the market but somewhere on the way it appeared to have lost its looks.

The present model’s angular styling is one thing an on acquired style of a world of softly curved coupes.

The driving dynamics are great, though; particularly in the powerful 189PS flagship, that is both quick and fast.

Just don’t expect rear-seat passengers to thanks for the ride; the back is distinctly cramped, with terrible head room.

Toyota Camry

January 10, 2011 by

From some angles the Camry look more like a Honda Accord compared to Honda does. Toyota’s everyman mid-sized sedan emerges in a variety of formats, which use the same car sedan body shell.

The XLE reaches the luxury end of the market, whilst the SE does what its aggressive front spoiler suggests – behaves sportingly.

This latter car is as simple as a long way the very best handling range. Performance in the entry-level engine, a 2.4 litre four, is satisfactory, but to find the best from the vehicle it is necessary to go to the top of the list and buy 3.3 V6.
