Lancia Musa

January 6, 2011 by

Slotting in just above Ypsilon as Lancia’s interpretation from the Fiat Idea, Musa is tailored for meeting demand from weekenders who desire a more flexible car than the usual saloon, but do not wish to move wholesale up to and including full-sized people carrier.

And who wish to stay brand-loyal to Lancia. A technically efficient package, Musa delivers all of the usual brand expectations, for the very first time providing buyers using the option of the compact MPV.

As may be expected the handling is clean, accommodation flexible, and gratifaction adequate otherwise earth-shattering.

Lancia Ypsilon

January 6, 2011 by

The most recent generation of Y shares some DNA with micro-sized Fiat models, but Lancia’s design team has were able to stamp a definite identity to the small model.

Such as a trick new electronically-controlled sequential gearshift, the supply of leather trim, along with a high-quality fascia by having an appearance a global from what drivers expect in a town car.

Handling and gratifaction are sharp – although the insufficient weight in the car makes it just a little skittish when pressed hard – there is a surprisingly degree of sophistication for any car of such modest proportions.

Lancia Thesis

January 6, 2011 by

Lancia’s Thesis is promoted as ‘a refined car for refined motorists’. Certainly it’s presence; a large, prestigious saloon having a typically Lancia mixture of retro-modern styling, a great selection of engines (with almost sixty-six per cent of buyers opting for the 2.4 turbo-diesel variant) and also the expected degree of craftsmanship that’s been a hallmark of the trademark since its creation in 1907.

New for 2005 is a six-speed manual transmission; continuing would be the satisfaction of owned by a comparatively elite club. This type of pity drivers in fewer countries than ever before can purchase one.

Lancia

January 6, 2011 by

This offshoot from the Fiat empire has had its share of troubled times: no more available in many markets and relegated to some minority in those in which it is stilt offered.

Poor reliability was the main reason for the lack of faith in the brand throughout the 1980s, an issue long-since remedied. Interestingly, regardless of the insufficient market presence Lancia has gradually eclipsed its stable mate brand Alfa Romeo in the past few years – which proves they’re getting something right.

Drivers in those countries not able to buy a Lancia are missing interesting cars, most famously the ‘city car with attitude’ going to arrive. Ypsilon, and also the brand’s executive express Thesis.

There’s also a compact people carrier, sharing a lot of its components using the Fiat Idea, along with a larger machine. Phedra (all Lancias are named after letters in the Greek alphabet) sharing much using the Ulysse from Fiat, along with the Peugeot 807. Lancia may also make coming back to sports vehicle – a brand new Fulvia two-seater coupe was recently shown – which may round from the range nicely.

Lamborghini Murcielago

January 6, 2011 by

Offered in both closed-roof Coupe and open Roadster forms, Murcielago packs a V12 using more than 600PS behind its seats, sufficient to supply near-stratospheric amounts of performance in the four wheel drive chassis.

Regardless of the similarity of styling and near-identical overall dimensions, the Roadster required considerable re-engineering of their centre section, to change strength lost once the roof section was removed.
The extra weight exacts merely a nominal penalty in relation to acceleration and top speed; both cars have sub-four second to 100kph acceleration, along with a maximum speed in more than 330kph.

Lamborghini Gallardo

January 6, 2011 by

A close-coupled, Italdesign-styled bit of machinery with V10 engine, the Gallardo is in that rare position of re-selling in excess of it cost new, such is demand. There are numerous distinctions in addition to the looks which set the vehicle apart.

Included in this are permanent four wheel drive, mounted on a six-speed sequential gearshift with steering column paddle controls. These help deliver 5 hundred-odd horsepower towards the tarmac so cleanly how the car will sprint to 100kph in a shade over four seconds, as well as on to some top speed about the high side of 300kph.

Lamborghini

January 6, 2011 by

For several years Lamborghini was seen as a “nearly” Ferrari; nearly as quick, nearly of the same quality looking, nearly as desirable, nearly as reliable. But a half dozen in years past a conscious decision was come to put clear air with the middle of this perception, by relocating Lamborghini’s product family into another area.

Your decision would be a wise one. Today’s set of Lamborghini models occupy quite different territory to that particular covered with Ferrari. Both
the Gallardo and Murcielago are awesomely fast and precise (because of four wheel drive) and blessed with sculpted lines, minimal concessions towards the comfort from the passenger, but they are made to provide absolute driver satisfaction.

In a bold move Lamborghini has donated a specially-modified Gallardo towards the State Polizia, who’ll utilize it since the ultimate rapid response vehicle.

Kia Spectra

January 6, 2011 by

A mid-sized sedan by European terms, but city car to the American cousins, Spectra includes a 138PS two litre twin-cam engine under its bonnet, allied to some five speed transaxle (four speed auto is optional) along with a surprisingly sophisticated suspension system that raises Kia’s game in relation to ride and handling.

Styling is unexceptional, being neither offensive nor especially interesting. Accommodation is on the par with this from the Honda Civic or Toyota Corolla, that it competes head-on, and also the degree of devices are high with anti-lock brakes, ac, high-grade audio and sufficient airbags to safeguard occupants against anything kind of an elephant landing on its roof. For the price, there’s little to complement it.

Kia Sorento

January 6, 2011 by

A large sports utility that’s by a wide margin the costliest car in the Kia range, Sorento is targeted at competitors like the Land Rover Freelander and Honda CR-V; performs this signal ambitions on Kia’s part to gradually move up-market?

The equipment is provided to some high standard, having a selection of 3.0 V6 petrol or 2.5 litre four cylinder diesel with numerous torque. Accommodation and equipment levels will also be good.

Transmission – in auto or manual forms – can automatically shift the drive between two- and four-wheel drive, and also the machine is eminently able to coping with ploughed fields and rough tracks. On-road handling and quality of ride is preferable to may be expected, too. On top of that, it does not seem like a third-world interpretation from the theme.

Kia Sedona / Carnival

January 6, 2011 by

Kia’s budget equal to the Chrysler Voyager and countless European multi-purpose vehicles (MPVs) the Sedona is a substantial package available (determined by market) having a selection of engines, a 3.5 litre V6 or perhaps a 2.9 turbo diesel and manual or auto transmissions.

Featuring another interpretation from the radiator grille how the company is attempting to show into its design hallmark, the equipment has got the advantage of sliding rear doors.

Spacious, comfortable and able to cruising together with ease – even though 2.9 turbo diesel can feel just a little agricultural – this is actually the ideal buy for big families with tight budgets. It is also proving a company favourite with minicab companies, because of its mixture of economy and space.

Kia Rio

January 6, 2011 by

A five-door family hatchback for the cost of a European city car, Rio follows the established Kia pattern of not breaking any new ground in relation to performance or driving appeal, but of providing excellent affordable.

Accommodation is nice, and also the entry-level car comes standard using the required basics of seats and radio; to obtain goodies including ac and power windows requires ascension from the model range.

Kia exists to satisfy requirements from the budget end from the market, and also the Rio may be the very quintessence of this rationale. Staying with the hatchback, instead of adding a sedan towards the range, may be the one thing that gets in the method of Rio’s success.

Kia Opirus / Amanti

January 6, 2011 by

Kia’s biggest car, sold as Opirus in some markets and Amanti in others, is tailored for reach buyers of mid-size cars in the USA as well as high-series cars in most others – hence the chrome overkill and strange styling.

Powered along with a sophisticated 3.5 litre V6 engine (overhead camshafts, single point injection, 195PS) and providing an appropriate ride for five adults – all whom possess a useful quantity of space apiece – the vehicle won’t set any pulses racing using its precise and sharp handling, however it will deliver its occupants for their destination in a calm frame of mind.

An even automatic transmission and a lot of luggage space round from the specification of the high-value package.
