Chevrolet Corvette
A true American legend - and frequently claimed to become America's only sports vehicle - Corvette like a concept has become in its sixth decade.
However the 2005 model year car is a world taken off those early fifties originals. A large car by sports vehicle standards the Corvette has V8 power under its immense hood, having a selection of 350 or 405 bhp 5.7 litre engines.
Performance is sharp like a knife by American standards but cannot work against European competitors in the same price range; it is too vulnerable to drifting with the bends.
If however your wish to fly Old Glory this is actually the sports vehicle to purchase.
